GODOX - FROSTED - glass dome

This Godox glass dome not only protects the flash tube of your QT, QS or GS studio flash but also gives a nice diffuse light and provides a better structure reproduction on the subject. Due to the frosting directly on the inside of the glass dome, the light is diffused against the inside of a reflector or softbox, creating a more efficient light output and a little more light falls on the subject.
Even in combination with a standard softbox with a 1st and 2nd diffuser, the combination with a frosted dome is different. More beautiful to our taste. 
Adding an extra 3rd diffuser for a softbox instead of a frosted dome, does not give the same effect and also results in a small light reduction.

The shift in the colour temperature is minimal and almost negligible.
The difference lies in the small nuances, the structure and the micro contrast.

Feel free to come and test in our studio. We have equipped several studio flash units with the frosted dome. We can then change the dome so that you can judge for yourself if this handy tool is right for you.

This dome is an original item from GODOX, but we have frosted it ourselves on the inside of the dome. Made in NL!
